x and y Intercepts

Graphing a linear equation by finding the x and y intercepts is often one of the simplest methods, especially when the equation is in standard form.

You should use the applet below more as a tool to "check" your work.
To use it:
1) Adjust the sliders to display the following linear equations.
2) Find the x and y intercepts using a pencil and paper.
3) Then click on the "Show x and y Intercepts" checkbox to display the intercepts.
4) You may also want to view the graph of the equation.
