In this final chapter you will be expected to work through as many exercises as you feel necessary to know the material.  Please check out a laptop from the library so you may view the presentations or take the online quiz from each section as necessary.  Please do so on the way to class if you are coming by the library.  Otherwise, check in first.

You are not entirely on your own.  We will begin each class with a brief overview of the material, an activity, or some direction in what to look for in the sections.  It will be up to you to decide how your time is spent in learning the material of the chapter.  You may use class time to read the text, view all or parts of the online presentations, work through some exercises, or take online quizzes at the ClassZone website.  The class period will NOT be considered a study hall or "free" time.  If you do not feel the need to work on chapter 12 material, you will be expected to help others on Geometry or begin preparing for the semester final.

To help keep you on-task, there will be a quiz on Monday (12th) and Tuesday (13th) over sections 12.1-12.4.  It will be up to you to come to class prepared for the quiz and the test.

Finally, please do not feel it necessary to practice all of the exercises.  Do enough from each part of each section to be certain you understand the material well.  Also, the odds will have the answers in the back of the book, which can be very helpful, and the even answers will be available in the classroom.  If you need more practice, try the Extra Practice page in the back of your text.  If you need still more practice, Mr. Major can provide some exercises on an individual basis.
