GeoGebra is a free, multi-platform, dynamic mathematics software for schools that joins geometry, algebra and calculus. It received several international awards including the European and German educational software awards. Below are some files that our students have worked with in class. |
| Algebra 1 | |
| Snoopy | Students get practice plotting point around the perimeter of Snoopy. |
| Fundamental Transformations | I use this module to demonstrate the fundamental transformations. |
| Transformations | This module requires students to calculate new coordinates for the vertices of a triangle to achieve the desired tranformation. |
| Graphing a Line | Students duplicate a dynamically generated line using slope-intercept form. |
| Graphing a Line | Students are given two random points (one being the y-intercept) and asked to generate the equation in slope-intercept form. |
| Graphing a Line | Students are given two random (non y-intercept) points and asked to generate the equation in slope-intercept form. |
| Geometry | |
| ASA Postulate | A step-by-step, construction of the ASA Postulate. |
| SAS Postulate | A step-by-step, construction of the SAS Postulate. |
| Medians of a Triangle | A step-by-step, median construction module. |
| Medians and their Proportions | A module that starts the student with a triangle median already constructed, with dynamic proportion measures shown. The student's task is to construct the remaining medians and verify that the proportions hold for the other two medians. |
| Sum of the Angles of a Triangle | Created by another GeoGebra author, this is a module I use to demonstrate the sum of the angles of any triangle. |
| Algebra 2 | |
| Matrix Transformations | This module allows students to apply various matrix transformations to a quadrilateral's vertices. |
