What's cooler than manipulating 3D models on the web?

Having your students build them and watch their expressions as they proudly show them off to their friends!

The model below was created by an "At-Risk" student in an after-school program.

  • She began this project by drafting a scale model on paper (blueprint), plotting all points, etc.
  • Next, she built the structure out of cardboard.
  • After locating and writing down all required points (in 3D space), she plotted the points required for each polygon of the structure (one building).
  • Finally, she made a copy of her original building and made a second.
Simply "left click" in the applet to rotate the model. Right click to see the full menu.

In this next example, one can do a "walk-through" of a 3D House.

Step 1) You must download and install the "Hypercosm 3D Player".

Step 2) Click here to see the model.
